The goal of the BLS Provider Course is to train participants to save lives of victims in cardiac arrest through high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The American Heart Association designed the BLS Provider Course to prepare healthcare professionals to know how to perform CPR both in- and out-of-hospital settings. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year BLS Provider certification.
